Gratefulness and trustworthiness in “the diary of samuel pepys”

There are two important values im going to write about taking in count the story of “samuel pepys” ,these two values are  trustworthiness and gratefulness first of all in order for me to write about this i need to explain  in what consists these two values, trustworthiness means is when you can completely trust in someone that this person will never tell nobody the secrets you tell to him or her, and gratefulness is when you are completely grateful about all the things god have gave to you in the course of your life , that you don’t need nothing more in order to be a happy person. Now in the story of the diary of samuel pepys there talks about a man named samuel who in my opinion at the beginning of the story doesn’t  show to much ant of these two values in exception of one moment when samuel was so great-full because he could be present when the king arrive, then when there was  the catastrophe of the fire in london as the fire at the beginning doesn’t affect him at all, neither to his properties he didn’t care for what was happening or for the people that was dying because of the fire he seemed as a bad person who doesn’t have values at all, instead the people of the town do have values because the were helping each other to get out of this problem. Later when samuel seemed affected economically by the fire he started to worry about all this and later on he was grateful of everything he has, I don’t think he has these value, but i do think he has the value of trustworthiness because as you can read he never tell anything to anyone, not even he’s own secrets, he just writes all of his life in this diary that no one opened so i think i cam truly trust in him
